Job Title: Production Manager

Job Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee a team of 30 employees across various departments. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring production targets are met, and fostering a positive and productive working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, experience with heavy materials, and a good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage a workforce of 30 employees across multiple departments.
2. Communicate effectively with department heads to understand and balance workloads.
3. Organize staff to meet production demands and ensure high productivity levels are maintained.
4. Monitor daily targets and promptly address any issues affecting production.
5. Ensure accurate paperwork and documentation for loads, cross-checking and reporting any discrepancies to sales or directors.
6. Coordinate with maintenance engineers to handle machine breakdowns and schedule necessary repairs or servicing.
7. Liaise regularly with the logistics department and sales team to keep operations smooth.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Motivate and guide staff, managing time-off requests and ensuring adherence to company policies.
2. Foster effective communication between departments to streamline processes.
3. Ensure health and safety regulations are met in the workplace.
4. Assist with recruitment, training, and induction of new staff.
5. Regularly meet with HR to discuss staff performance and handle any employee issues.
6. Provide regular updates to directors on workload, staff, and any necessary department changes or improvements.
7. Manage production departments such as unpacking, loading, polishing, sandblasting, and artistry.

Hours of Work:
1. Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
2. Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
3. Occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.
