Contracts Manager
Location: London - Hybrid role
Contract: 6 months +
Rate: £500.00 per day via ltd
My client requires a Contracts Manager to aid and steer contractual negotiations for research and research-related activities. You will advise various internal departments on the contractual obligations, responsibilities, and risks arising from contracted activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge of key contract topics (e.g., intellectual property, performance, publication, confidentiality, warranties, liability and indemnity, data protection/privacy, governing law and jurisdiction) and understanding of how these can be addressed when reviewing, drafting, and negotiating research contracts or legal agreements.
2. Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating research contracts and/or legal agreements.
3. Experience in identifying and providing commercial advice on potential risks for a variety of activities, including competing contractual obligations.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact both reactively and proactively with different audiences.
5. Ability to convey complex information to a non-specialist audience.
Qualifications:
1. Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field, for example, law degree or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL).
2. HE experienced preferred but not essential.
