Complementing our medical and psychological services, our travel clinic is based at Carberry near Edinburgh and isopen 3 days per week (currently Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday). Regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland, weprovide individual tailored travel health consultations, travel health advice and vaccinations to clientstravelling for both work and leisure. Our clients consist of mission and humanitarian agencies and theirpersonnel, GAP year organisations, those in church leadership, families, young people as well as members of thegeneral public.
We are looking for a registered nurse or pharmacist to join our team. The role, which is based in our Carberry travelclinic will see you meeting with clients to provide comprehensive travel health consultations contextualised totheir needs and travel plans. You will provide them with the necessary information to enable them to make aninformed decision regarding travel health treatments and preventative measures. You’ll deliver risk assessmentinformation,and will issue vaccinations and appropriate medications following agreed protocols, patient group orpatient specific directions. You will maintain clear and accurate clinical records according to writtenprotocols. Reporting to the Medical Lead, you will increase learning and expertise within the field through arange of learning activities and opportunities and will contribute to HealthLink360’s continued good practiceacross all aspects of our travel clinic, including pharmacy compliance, vaccines management.
Authorised to practise in the UK, as either a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or as a Pharmacist withcurrent GPhC registration, you will bring relevant experience to support your interest in travel healthmedicine.
* We offer a friendly working environment, a competitive level of pay (from circa £35,000 full time equivalent according to skills and experience) and an interesting and varied role.
* As necessary, we’ll ask you to complete a Travel Health Education training via TREC (funded by us) prior to starting the role.

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and effective LGBT+ Helpline Project Assistant to support the HelplineCoordinator to deliver our national LGBT+ Helpline, contributing to the development of our ambitious vision forLGBT health, wellbeing and equality in Scotland.
The main purpose of the LGBT+ Helpline Assistant role is to support the LGBT+ Helpline Coordinator in running theHelpline. This will entail:
* supervising volunteers and sessional staff during shifts
* taking secondary calls on the Helpline whilesupporting volunteers
* assisting with creating and maintaining the rota
* providing directsupervision to some volunteers
* assisting with training delivery
* updating the resourcesdatabase
* assisting with promotion.
The postholder must be committed to LGBT+ equality and be LGBT+ culturally aware. We require an individual withexperience of providing phone-based emotional support. The postholder must be experienced in supportingvolunteers and/or staff. And we require an LGBT+ Helpline Assistant who is highly organised and an excellentcommunicator.

The Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) is a small charity making a big difference. About the role
The current post holder has been leading QNIS for 10 years and is moving on to take up a new role. For the rightperson this is a great opportunity to shape the evolution of the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland as it entersa new chapter. As Chief Executive and Nurse Director, you will have the chance to lead the strategic directionof the charity. Working with a group of expert and committed trustees, the postholder will be responsible forthe development of a small charitable organisation with a large reputation.
As Chief Executive, the postholder is accountable for the running of the charity, providing leadership and managementto the team of 10 staff (6.5 WTE) and the delivery of programmes. They will lead on strategy, vision and valuescreating a compelling narrative to support income generation. They will nurture and manage relationships withfunders and potential funders to enable a sustainable future.
As Nurse Director, the role requires representing the Institute and community nursing/midwifery in strategic forums,bringing professional expertise, good evidence and wisdom to high level discussion.
The post holder is accountable to the Board of Trustees (QNIS Council). They have regular meetings with the Chair andan annual appraisal. The post is full time (37.5 hours), based in our office in central Edinburgh, with scopefor flexible working from home. We are offering a salary of £84-90k depending on experience. There is 10%employers’ contribution to a group pension scheme, life cover and 28 days annual leave plus 10 bank holidays andan additional birthday leave day.
About you
A nurse, or midwife, you will be an experienced leader and manager. You will be highly numerate, able to set, monitorand manage financial plans including fundraising. You will be experienced in and knowledgeable about governance,particularly managing risk.
To support and supervise the team, you will be an experienced programme manager; familiar with designing and managingprocesses, budgets, evaluation and reporting on impact. You will be a highly skilled facilitator of learning andimprovement, experienced in creating safe spaces for development. You will bring a range of creative,methodologies for improvement and change.
With a broad and deep knowledge of the health and social care policy landscape of Scotland, you will have a nuancedunderstanding of the range of issues affecting community nurses and midwives and Scotland’s public healthchallenges.
You will be highly self-aware and committed to wellbeing and self-care of yourself and others, bringing your owncompassionate and creative leadership to setting a healthful workplace culture for the team at QNIS.

The disease is genetic, meaning it is passed down from one generation to the next. It therefore impacts entirefamilies over generations rather than individuals alone. Anyone with a parent who has Huntington’s has a 50%risk of inheriting the condition from them.
Around 800 people in Scotland are living with the symptoms of Huntington’s disease right now. A further 3,200 areestimated to be at risk of developing Huntington’s disease as a result of inheriting the faulty gene.

The role involves working closely with the HD Clinical Lead (a Senior NHS employed doctor such as psychiatrist,neurologist or geneticist) in addition to our Services Team Lead and the Deputy Chief Executive/Head of Servicesto manage and develop the service.
