Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client in the North of England to appoint an Interim Development Manager to lead on leisure and mixed-use development projects. This is an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving forward the development and delivery of key leisure and mixed-use schemes, aligning them with the council's wider regeneration and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and delivery of leisure and mixed-use projects from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Oversee the development of public leisure facilities, community hubs, and mixed-use spaces.
Manage the planning, design, and construction phases of projects, coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and external consultants.
Ensure projects comply with planning, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and project alignment with council goals.
Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor progress, and mitigate risks.
To be considered, you will have:
Significant experience in development management, particularly in leisure, mixed-use, or regeneration projects within the public sector.
A strong track record of managing complex development projects from design through to completion.
Familiarity with local authority processes, planning regulations, and public sector funding.
A relevant qualification in project management or development (e.g., RICS, APM, PRINCE2) or equivalent professional experience.
