Care Team Leader
Ravenswood Village, Crowthorne, Berkshire
£27,144 per annum (£14.50 per hour) - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
36 hours per week, to include weekends
We are looking for a Team Leader in our Pamela Barnett residential home, to join our friendly team within Ravenswood Village. We support people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives.
The purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of care and support within the home to ensure high quality of service provided. The majority of your time will be leading and supervising support workers to make sure that the care and support provided is person-centred and that each person living in the home is given information and advice in an accessible way that enables them to make informed decisions about their care and support. As a Team Leader you will also be involved in the recruiting and training of support workers as well as assisting the Home Manager in finances, rosters, reporting, maintenance and Health and Safety.
The ideal Care Team Leader must be a great communicator, work well within a team and have strong time management and leadership skills. About the Service:
The home is a large two-storey house. There is a large kitchen and separate dining room. It has a lounge, dedicated room for arts & crafts and the large garden overlooks the countryside. Bedrooms are on the ground floor and first floor. The house also has 3 separate self-contained flats.
The residents are friendly and social. They enjoy arts & crafts, music, knitting, TV and coffee shops. Some residents interact with each other, and some are more solitary.

Typical shift times: 07:00/08:00 – 19:00/20:00
Essential skills:
Experience in Care and Support of Adults with Learning Disabilities
Experience in person centred planning and risk assessment
Ability to swim and support others in our hydrotherapy pool
QCF Level 3 or NVQ 3 or willingness to work towards a relevant care qualification
Knowledge of current legislation
Excellent leadership skills and experience
Effective communicator
Holder of a full, clean UK driving licence.
