Main duties of the job
* Provision of an effective and efficient Nutrition and Dietetic service to oncology & haematology patients.
* Collaborate with medical professionals to integrate dietetic services with the overall care plan.
* Assess and analyse patients' nutritional needs, developing personalised diet plans to support their treatment in oncology and haematology.
* Monitor and review patients' progress, adjusting nutritional plans as necessary to optimise their treatment outcomes.
* Educate and advise patients and their families on nutritional needs and diet modifications.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* HCPC registration.
* Dietetics degree or equivalent.
* Experience working in the NHS, ideally within Oncology/Haematology.
* Experience performing nutritional assessment and considering clinical diagnoses of patients who may have complex and/or chronic presentations, to determine dietetic treatment indicated.
* Experience monitoring nutritional and fluid intake, the effectiveness of nutritional goals and modifying the plan as necessary based on ongoing analysis and assessment of information available, such as weight and blood electrolyte/micronutrient monitoring, tolerance of oral/enteral nutrition.
