Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of anatomy. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
Duties
* Provide direct patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
* Assist the physician during endoscopic examinations and interventions.
* Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in their condition.
* Educate patients and their families about the procedures, expected outcomes, and post-procedure care.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications
* Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
* Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an endoscopy or surgical unit.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to endoscopic procedures.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in endoscopy nursing practices.
