Job Title: Asbestos Contracts Manager
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester.
Salary / Benefits: £29k - £50k + Company Vehicle + Benefits + Commission Scheme
We are working with a successful and highly respected Asbestos Removals company who have a national presence. Due to recently gaining new contracts they are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Contracts Manager to join their North West team. This role would suit someone who is looking to join a forward-thinking and continuously growing company. You will be overseeing teams of operatives and managing licensed / non-licensed projects across Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, Public Sector, and Educational sites. Due to the nature of the role, our client would give consideration to Asbestos Supervisors with a steady work history looking to take a step up in their career. You will be working closely with Asbestos Supervisors ensuring work is carried out in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines and agreed timelines.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Experience working for an established Asbestos Removals company.
2. Excellent technical knowledge of the removals process.
3. Excellent management skills, able to organise own and others work schedules.
4. IT literate, able to produce reports, quotes, risk assessments, and method statements.
5. Holding the ARCA Contracts Manager ticket would be beneficial, but training can be provided.
6. Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and face to face.
7. Able to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients.
The Role:
1. Visiting a mixed portfolio of sites, ensuring to gather as much information as possible to produce competitive and accurate quotes.
2. Overseeing and managing a team of operatives, carrying out training and appraisals when required.
3. Liaising with clients to confirm work to be carried out.
4. Organising operative schedules, ensuring they have all the necessary tools / equipment / PPE to carry out work safely.
5. Carrying out site visits ensuring that work is being carried out in line with agreed timeframes and relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
6. Producing monthly management reports.
7. Efficiently and safely managing licensed / non-licensed asbestos removal projects.
8. Managing new and existing accounts, ensuring that clients' requirements are being met.
9. Creating detailed, site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
10. Working closely with clients to build and maintain professional relationships & acting as first point of contact, ensuring that any issues are dealt with promptly.
11. Completing ASB5 documents in a timely manner, ensuring they are submitted to the correct authorities.
