Non-embedded Chassis SME’s reporting into the Chief Engineer – Chassis within Engineering Services and supporting Vehicle Teams in all phases of the design and development process to ensure robustness of design and efficient test validation to develop the quality of our products and prevent development and in service quality issues Both positions will involve a high degree of collaboration with our Manufacturing areas, Quality and Purchase Departments together with detailed supplier interaction and development. Candidates should have direct experience of designing parts for these two fields with a proven ability to rapidly adapt to, and understand, new areas outside of their previous experience. You must be a proven problem solver with a pragmatic attitude who can progress efficiently through issues that result in well thought out, robust and appropriate solutions. You must be comfortable with the integration of styling and engineering that result in parts that are both well engineered, and aesthetically suitable for out premium product line up. You must be an organised and methodical Engineer who ensures processes and procedures are evolved and updated as required, to ensure we maintain best practice across the Design Department Please note that 2 positions are available: • Ergonomics Components SME: Covers a wide range of components and systems; All hand controls, bars, all foot controls, control plates, gear linkage, side-stand and centre stands. • Fabrications SME: Cover all fabricated parts, in-house manufactured, and purchased, and will include fuel tanks.
