Do you have experience as an Outreach Support Team Manager? My client is excited to be able to recruit for a new member of staff to join their growing but experienced Homeless Prevention team within the Street Homeless Team.
The team has the goal to rehouse those who have a past of rough sleeping and give them more sustainable and appropriate housing options in an effort to end rough sleeping borough wide. This job provides a great opportunity to make a real impact in your local community!
Main Duties:
1. Manage and oversee a team of outreach workers and ensure goals are being met and monitor performance.
2. Locate, verify and engage with those found to be rough sleeping/bedding down in the Borough and support them in whatever way is required to improve their outcomes.
3. Set out personalised housing plans to support clients throughout their move into permanent accommodation.
4. Build relationships based on trust; once clients are off the streets, continue to support them on a sustainable pathway and ensure they remain in accommodation for good.
5. Provide opportunities for the street population, rough sleepers, and homeless people within the district to move into sustainable housing that will integrate them within mainstream society.
6. Carry out assessments of vulnerable clients and provide them with sustainable housing support plans.
