Do you want to join us in our mission to help transform students’ lives? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our growing and dynamic ESOL & International department, supporting speakers of other languages to achieve their goals and aspirations. Cambridge Regional College is a large and inspirational centre of learning with campuses in Cambridge and Huntingdon. We have outstanding teaching and leisure facilities and a reputation for excellence in several fields. The ESOL & International department is a close-knit, supportive and friendly team. We are looking for ESOL/EFL lecturers to teach on a permanent part-time basis, on courses delivered face-to-face at our Huntingdon and/or Cambridge campus. Courses may be delivered during the day or in the evening throughout the academic year and on our summer school programmes. You will have a CELTA (or equivalent) and experience of teaching English in an ESOL context (with students living and working in the UK). Experience of both face-to-face and online delivery will be advantageous. You should also be confident in supporting students with their personal development, including helping them to develop employability skills, an understanding of health and safety, accessing welfare support services within the college and assisting students with their study skills. We are looking for people who can work in a team and are able and willing to develop courses to meet the needs of the students that they are teaching. The College is committed to the full development of its students and the successful candidate will be able to develop both academic and personal skills in their students as well as give them a better understanding of life in the UK. A measure of digital skills will be expected of the successful candidate, or a willingness to learn fast, as we use Microsoft Teams as part of our teaching. This is an exciting and very rewarding role where you will help to contribute to our college mission: to transform lives and create prosperity by delivering education that meets the needs of students, employers and communities in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding area.
