Commercial Supply Chain – Senior Analyst Type: 12 month fixed term contrac Location: Horizon Place - Luton Introduction to role As a Market Analyst, you will act as a reliable business partner for a subset of Marketing Companies on supply chain issues. Your key objectives will be to manage how much supply goes to each market via AstraZeneca’s quota management system and optimize the distribution of our medicines. You will identify and exploit opportunities to create value, ensuring that our products reach pharmacies and patients efficiently. Accountabilities Act as contact for markets on executing AZ’s quota management system including monthly forecasting of demand sales and optimizing the allocation to wholesalers, pharmacies, and hospitals. Lead on network and portfolio changes required for UK vs Windsor Framework implementation. Manage ad-hoc supply chain and distribution-related initiatives and projects. Identify opportunities in markets to improve supply chain distribution by better matching supply with demand and ensuring product reaches pharmacies & patients. Support the commercial distribution strategy and optimization of QMS execution with the marketing companies. Ensure agreed operating standards for CSC activities are adhered to across the selected markets and work to address any areas of non-compliance with the processes and guidelines. Analysis/proposal/negotiation & agreement of QMS volumes with MC Commercial Supply Teams. Ensure availability of AZ products within markets. Optimisation of supply chain design to support availability. Support CSC Team through continuous improvement of analysis tool functions. Essential Skills/Experience Deep understanding of Both Wholesaler and DtP distribution Models Specific knowledge of Post-Brexit Regulatory Framework for GB and devolved nations. Strong analytical skills to quickly diagnose the root cause of performance issues. Strong technical capabilities (primarily Excel and a few AZ systems) Strong interpersonal skills to enforce functional principles and ability to influence and manage local stakeholders. Strict compliance with relevant competition and regulatory laws governing quota management, and ability to convey the importance of this throughout the region Flexibility to travel as needed Desirable Skills/Experience Strong understanding of the Commercial organization Knowledge of the external and internal supply chain, key players, product flows, and legislation Prior forecasting experience When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
