The Energy Team operates within the Property division of Royal Mail Group, responsible for delivering energy management support across a portfolio of c.1,800 buildings. With a workforce of over 100,000 employees and a fleet of over 30,000 vehicles, Royal Mail aims to achieve net zero carbon by 2040 with a 25% water reduction target by 2030.
We are looking for a Junior BEMS (Buildings Energy Management System) Energy Manager to support the BEMS Manager in improving energy efficiency, environment monitoring, and carbon emissions across the Royal Mail property portfolio.
The Role:
Reporting to the BEMS Energy Manager, your focus will be to support best practice energy management, ensuring the built environment is optimized for energy efficiency while maintaining user comfort.
* Act as the first line of support, working with the Facilities Management Helpdesk in Leeds and FM Engineering colleagues to identify, review data, and resolve BEMS and HVAC faults.
* Focus on remote analytics (e.g., monitoring and targeting, measurement and verification) and optimization of building energy management systems (BEMS).
* Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business and supply chain to deliver energy savings.
About You:
You need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Experience in the energy, low-carbon, or related industry.
* Good understanding of energy management principles, building services, and controls (BEMS, Trend).
* Experience with building energy management systems (BEMS) installation, maintenance, operation, and optimization.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attention to detail.
* Dynamic and able to adapt and deliver under pressure with limited information.
