Project Manager (M&E)
Location: Heanor (Derbyshire)
Position: Permanent
We're seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a track record in managing commercial construction M&E projects, to join a world-leading company with over a century of industry experience.

This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of office, site, and home working.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage predominantly NEC projects (some JCT) within specified agreements.
2. Handle prolongation claims, adjudication activities and similar bumps in the road in a professional and timely fashion.
3. Manage the project lifecycle from initial handover to closeout.
4. Ensure detailed communications to support the project.
5. Oversee all aspects of project performance and set out the project deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
6. Maintain financial control and robust margin control for each project.
7. Ensure timely submission of milestones/invoices with appropriate documentation.
8. Execute projects to the best advantage of the business and manage project risk.
9. Collaborate with others in the business to support project activities on tenders and quotes.
10. Carry out lessons learned for continuous improvement and have a continuous learning outlook.
11. Generate accurate project plans and ensure any amendments are communicated effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
HNC/HND qualified or equivalent would be a minimum for this role, but experience counts, so if you have the experience let me know.
Formal Project Management qualification (e.g., Prince II or APMP) or familiarity with the defined processes would be a must.
Experience:
1. Proven experience of delivering M&E design, manufacture, and install projects within Energy, Nuclear, Petrochemical, Aerospace, or similar industries is a prerequisite to make the role a success.
2. Significant experience with NEC and (to a lesser extent) JCT contract-types.
3. Gas Turbine or similar large-scale project knowledge would be desirable but not critical.
4. Previous fabrication/manufacturing project management would also be good to have.
Skills:
1. Excellent communication and organisation skills.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
3. Technical and numerical competence.
4. Commercial Knowledge.
5. Ability to work under pressure to meet customer deadlines.
6. Management and people skills.
7. Understanding of Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project or similar industry planning software.
