Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Salary up to £30k / Need to have CEMAP or CII Level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice qualification / full-time office-based role – will need to drive.
Scope of Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to start their career as a Trainee Mortgage Advisor. The position is permanent and office-based with a competitive basic salary (non-commission based) and an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Building with Lenders & Customers:
* Develop strong relationships with lenders to understand their processes, timelines, and to effectively challenge decisions when required.
* Build rapport with customers, providing them with guidance and support through the mortgage application process.
Mortgage Application & Underwriting Support:
* Assist with tasks related to the underwriting process, including chasing valuations, liaising with lenders, and ensuring that all documentation is checked thoroughly.
* Input and process mortgage applications with attention to detail and accuracy.
Daily Task & Email Management:
* Effectively manage daily tasks, emails, and followups related to mortgage applications.
* Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner, and any outstanding issues are resolved promptly.
Meeting KPIs:
* Meet individual KPIs set by the company, ensuring that productivity and customer service standards are consistently achieved.
Data Accuracy & Record-Keeping:
* Ensure high levels of accuracy in all data entry, keeping detailed records of all customer interactions, applications, and correspondence.
Proactive Efforts:
* Go the extra mile to assist customers and ensure their needs are met throughout the mortgage process.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Qualifications:
* CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or an equivalent CII Level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice is required.
Experience:
* At least 12 months of recent mortgage processing experience, preferably from within a brokerage environment.
Skills:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers and lenders.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess mortgage applications, documentation, and customer needs.
* Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of mortgage applications and supporting documents.
* Organised and structured approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
