Job Summary: To produce BIM/CAD outputs required for the development of the project complying with HS2 and Mace Dragados BIM and CAD requirements. To collaborate with any other project members (Mace Dragados, HS2, Supply chain, third parties or any other), in developing graphical outputs as well as extracting any information contained in the graphical model. This collaboration is even closer with Design, Construction, Temporary Works and Survey teams. To follow and enforce the implementation and use of Mace Dragados BIM Execution Plan policies for the production of information. To collaborate with the Information Management Team in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Information Use Cases. To support the development of project team technical competences using the BIM model. The BIM Technician reports to the CAD/BIM Manager. Key Responsibilities: Produce graphical data (3D, 2D, federated models, drawings, visualizations, etc.), GIS, documentation or asset data for Mace Dragados team for all the project phases from early design to handover. Produce as-built, or any other graphical data required for the completion of the project. Work with the Design, Temporary Works, Survey and Construction team in the production of graphical data for different purposes. Support project members (Mace Dragados, HS2, Supply chain, third parties or any other) in meetings. Follow CAD/BIM Manager instructions and support him in the production of graphical data and the coordination and control of the Supply Chain graphical production. Produce or populate any piece of PIM information required graphical, non-graphical, GIS or documentation. Support the Information Management Team in the production, implementation and maintenance of the BIM Execution Plan set of documents and other project documentation. Support the Information Management Team in maintaining activities defined in the BIM Execution Plan set of documents. Execute the transformation of graphical data between different software systems. Support the Information Management team in implementing Information Use Cases. Provide support to the CAD/BIM Manager in providing training to the Mace Dragados Team. Qualifications, Certifications and Experience: In-depth working knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D Drawing production. In-depth working knowledge of Projectwise. Computer skills – well developed IT skills including Office suit. In-depth knowledge of BIM/CAD software. Understanding of Clash detection and CAD/BIM coordination processes Scope and scale, within the construction industry. Experience in extracting data and quantities from 3D models Previous experience working for a major rail infrastructure clients Technical Competencies: Have good communication skills in English, both written and verbal and the ability to report clearly Working knowledge of BS19650 Good working knowledge of Bentley Open Building Designer, AECOsim, or Microstation and understanding of other CAD applications.
