You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and you will be able to provide clinical leadership, act as a mentor and role model to your colleagues, manage complex patient care, and lead the unit in the absence of the Cath Lab lead. You will support individuals and teams to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care that is responsive to the needs of our patients and their families. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, your specialist training should include a minimum of 3 years previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience, be accustomed in both Scrub Nurse and circulator roles. You will have extensive experience of managing Cardiac Cath Lab patients, across the range of different procedures including: diagnostic intervention, Coronary Angiography and PCI, Structural heart interventions including TAVI, PFO ASD closure, Cardiac Device implant including PPM/ICD/CRT and electrophysiology procedures, including both, RF and Cryo procedures. You’ve also got a demonstrable senior level knowledge and experience and be keen to lead, motivate, educate and supervise the nursing and multidisciplinary team. All candidates will be expected to work flexibly across a shift pattern of 8-8pm and be part of an on-call rota to further support our service offering.
