The day unit has 12 treatment chairs and operates from 07:30 - 19:00 Monday to Friday treating adult patients with both solid tumours and haematological cancers.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,552 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of specialist nursing care to all patients within MVCC. You will be able to coordinate the overall management of the ward.
Facilitating the education and support of qualified and unqualified staff and participating in the development of nursing practice in the clinical area.
Working independently/autonomously without direct supervision, accountable for own professional actions.
Take an active role in deputising and supporting the ward Sister.
Plan and organise discharge arrangements with voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure continuity of care from the hospital to the community, inpatient admission or continuing care setting.
