North Tyneside has developed a proactive service that responds directly to exploitation building upon experience, local and national learning and a two-year pilot.
We are looking for a committed social worker, who has substantial experience of engaging hard to reach young people who may have complex needs and their families, have an advanced understanding of risk management and who also has experience, interest and a passion in ROTH safeguarding. Persistence, resilience, responsivity and flexibility are essential to this role, as is the ability to have difficult, challenging conversations with young people and their families.
You will be working intensively with young people aged 12-17 who are experiencing extra familial exploitation. Each case will be holistically framed and can be formulation led, with interventions bespoke to the young person. The outcomes of the service for the young person will be centred on the goals that the young person sets for themselves.
You will be responsible for delivering and improving services for vulnerable children /young people through the provision of high-quality plans for children where the exploitation is outside of the home. You will be responsible to co-working and hold high risk/complex cases.
You will work with the ROTH Coordinator to embed the service across Childrens Social Care. You will be social work qualified and have a comprehensive knowledge of Safeguarding legislation and ROTH.
