We are seeking to appoint an after school care support worker to join our enthusiastic and committed team. Applicants for this position must be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council at support worker level or be registered with the General Teaching Council of Scotland
Working hours in term time:
Monday-Friday; 2.30pm-4.30pm
Remuneration and benefits:
The salary for this position £5,150.68.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled into the school’s support staff pension
scheme, but will have the right to opt out. Staff with dependents attending the school will be
eligible for a 30% remission on school fees (or pro-rata for part time staff). St Margaret’s has

Main Responsibilities:
After School Care Duties
• To prepare the dining room for the after school care session and to clear away at the end of session
• To register those girls in attendance
• To contribute to the planning, preparation and execution of activities
• To create a happy purposeful atmosphere for the pupils
• To ensure the health and safety of the pupils
• To encourage good self-discipline among the pupils, and to ensure a good standard of behaviour
• To prepare snack for the pupils
• To notify a member of the senior leadership team if the girls have not been collected
• To remain with any girl until she has been collected
• To communicate with parents and members of the teaching and support staff as required
• To inform the Head of Finance and Operations if repairs or maintenance are required
• To attend staff meetings as and when required
• To attend in-service training as and when required
