More about your role
We have an exciting opportunity in our Customer Accounts Team for you to play a key role in delivering an efficient, target-driven, and performance-focused service.
You will need the confidence and communication skills to deal with income recovery and debt-related issues and effectively maximise income for our customers and the business. You will proactively identify customers who fall behind with their rent and other charges and provide advice and assistance to help them maintain their tenancies.
The role is primarily home-based with occasional travel required to one of our Regional Offices for meetings or training.
The essential criteria for this role are listed below:
* Previous debt collection knowledge
* Good time management
* Previous telephony experience
The role is fixed term covering maternity leave until January 2026.
More about you
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have in-depth specialist knowledge of debt enforcement, including income recovery, court procedures, and enforcement action. A comprehensive understanding of Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, and other Welfare Benefits systems is also required.
We need you to have excellent communication skills and a confident, firm, yet polite manner. Given the challenging nature of this role, you must ensure effective communication between customers, Debt Resolution Managers, peers, and external agencies, and be able to provide new and imaginative approaches to challenges.
This role requires a flexible attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have previous housing and income recovery experience, along with being a confident IT user. Experience with the Northgate (NEC) housing system would be an advantage.
