> Description Employer description: Lockheed Martin UK SS (LMUK SS) is a lead contractor providing specialist In-Service Support to the Royal Navy’s Submarine Programme. Primarily based at HM Naval Base Clyde Faslane, the company plays a key role in ensuring the operational readiness of the UK’s Vanguard class submarines. Overview: They are currently recruiting for an IT Support Analyst Modern Apprentice to join their team. Working as part of an IT Operations team who provide IT support and maintain the IT infrastructure, the apprentice will undertake an 18 month structured training programme that leads to a certified Modern Apprenticeship in IT Support at SCQF Level 8. Duties: Provide 1st line support for the Service Desk via Phone, email and portal. Deployment of desktops & laptops. Dealing with ticket queries including password resets and fault logging. Maintaining asset register. Deploying software patches to systems. Update IT knowledge base. User administration. Desirable skills: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written A keen interest in learning new IT technologies Excellent customer service Well organised and takes the initiative Good attention to detail Drive, location not duties: Please note - Being able to drive is preferred but not essential as long as you are within an hour commute. Entry Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of four qualifications equivalent to SCQF level 5 including Maths, English and Computing Science. Due to MOD requirements, applicants must be a UK sole national and must disclose all current or previous passports/foreign citizenships held. You must be able to travel throughout the UK and occasionally to the US and successful candidates will be required to undergo a security clearance check. Salary: £20,000 per annum. Working week: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm.
