NRL are seeking an experienced Planner with Data Centre construction experience to oversee Planning activities on a new-build data centre in Oxfordshire.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning management function for a Data Centre project.
2. Set the standard for planning and project controls, regularly reviewing the function during pre-construction and construction phases.
3. Develop a consistent approach and produce regular reports to provide feedback on progress and performance to the group board.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Develop the baseline contract program, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Ensure all elements are fully logic-linked and have a critical path.
5. Prepare a construction (target) program, highlighting areas for improvement compared to the contract program.
6. Create a tender event program for subcontractor procurement, incorporating design release and lead-in activities.
7. Maintain electronic files and administer planning and program documents using the common data environment (CDE).
8. Provide all necessary program information to support the management team.
9. Develop 4D graphical models or 2D phasing plans to represent the build sequence and logistics.
10. Use the construction program to assist in producing project preliminary books, including staff resource, logistics, and temporary works requirements.
11. Collaborate with the supply chain to develop the project program related to design, lead-ins, construction periods, and plant and labor requirements.
12. Review risks and opportunities for each program, highlighting potential mitigation measures, including float and time risk allowances.
Qualifications / Training:
13. Relevant degree or diploma.
14. Qualifications in construction management.
15. Certification for using planning and program software.
16. Membership in relevant professional bodies (where applicable).
17. Advanced training in Asta Powerproject (Progress Analysis & S-curve reporting) and Primavera P6 (Managing costs & resources).
18. Managing People Training.
19. Advanced contract awareness, understanding JCT and NEC forms of contract.
