Exciting Opportunity for HGV & Automotive Engineers Join a Growing Team in Maidenhead/Slough!
We re proud to be supporting a well-established, innovative business based in Maidenhead, soon to relocate to Slough. Due to high demand, our client is expanding and looking to double their team of skilled engineers. They re seeking experienced HGV Technicians or Specialised Automotive Technicians to work on the development of cutting-edge amphibious vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble HGV engines, gearboxes, heavy-duty suspension, and HV electrical components.
* Develop manufacturing procedures to integrate HGV components into amphibious vehicle designs.
* Work closely with marine and automotive engineers to improve build processes.
* Ensure all welding work meets safety standards for both land and water environments.
* Promote teamwork and inclusion, building strong relationships at all levels.
* Perform quality checks and raise any concerns to the shop foreman.
* Support problem-solving activities and provide solutions within the engineering team.
* Be flexible to work overtime and travel as required for vehicle testing and development.
* Accurately log data into build books, including torque and serial number records for components.
* Support safety initiatives and manage the implementation of corrective measures.
* Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the workshop.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic.
* Solid understanding of HGV systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
* Technical certification in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
* Welding, sheet metal fabrication, and machining skills are advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is a plus, but not a requirement.
* Experience in low-volume vehicle manufacturing is beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients.
* Strong problem-solving capabilities.
* Full UK driver s license.
