Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
An independent school in Salisbury is seeking a dedicated Qualified Teaching Assistant to join their team, providing vital support to secondary-aged pupils in a nurturing and dynamic environment.
The Role:
This position involves working closely with teachers and students to foster a positive learning atmosphere, support academic progress, and contribute to the personal development of pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to meet individual student needs.
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and orderly classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress, offering targeted assistance to promote learning.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Solid understanding of the secondary school curriculum and the needs of secondary-aged pupils.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
