D365 Operations Deployment Lead - Factories

This is an 18 month (Outside IR35) contract based in any of the main Rotork locations within the UK (Bath, Leeds or Manchester). There is an expectation of travel, within Europe and Intercontinentally as required.
Context:
Rotork has embarked on project DRIVE, a programme to migrate each of its global factories and selling entities from their legacy ERP systems onto D365. This role will be part of the Operations DRIVE deployment team who are supporting all global sites in their transition over the next 3 years.
Rotork is deploying the D365 ERP suite across all its Global Factory and Subsidiaries. This role is responsible for defining the operational solution for each local factory, utilising the standard system solution for operations and finance. Working with the deployment leads for Engineering, Finance and IT, you will assess the gaps for implementing the standard D365 solution, work with the local management teams to create a plan to close the gaps, create the training & communications required to manage the change & lead the operational implementation of the solution through the testing and cutover cycles. Rotork will be deploying D365 to 3-5 factories at the same time, and therefore there will be 2 DRIVE Operations Deployment Leads, each responsible for a squad of SMEs, that will need to work together to ensure each factory deployment is correctly defined, resourced and executed.
Responsibilities
* Effective co-ordination of the project and the management of the interdependencies including creation of the project plan and oversight of any risks and issues.
* Leadership of the transition team for global operations D365 rollout to factories.
* Drive the operations activities in line with the agreed roll out plan ensuring we have both centrally and site-based resourcing in place to meet the timelines.
* Ensure dependency with other programmes of work are considered and aligned.
* Support the Data and Process council(s) ensuring the governance is in place to approve changes to the current solution when necessary.
* Establish and lead the implementation process for Operations within each Rotork Site.
* Ensure sites are aware of the implementation process, their responsibilities and progress reporting.
* Co-Ordinate and govern the team of subject matter experts holding them accountable for working with the sites on closing gaps and re-assessing.
* Approval of relevant development required and subsequent CR’s / solution documents.
* Supporting organisational changes required by the Site to facilitate the processes and roles required for successful post-implementation operations.
* Ensure Data cleansing activities are identified and resourced.
* Sign off the site cutover plan and reconciliation process.
* User Acceptance Training – leading and coordinating the testing ensuring involvement of relevant users, coverages of the relevant scenarios and completion to schedule.
* Transition planning – inventory actions, orderbook, final data cleansing, cutover planning.
* Lead the post Go Live hyper care activities. Capturing of issues and leading implementation of fixes.
* Overall integrity and coherence of the programme.
Other
* Communication – ensuring the key stakeholders are regularly kept up to date with status, process, upcoming events, risks etc.
* Develop, implement, and track program management plans to ensure programme success and provide a plant level view back into the Central functional teams.
* Provide leadership, management, and coordination to the local implementation team.
* Maintain a strong working relationship with the Business transformation team and Central functional teams.
* Enforce project management methods and standards within the programme of work.
* Coordinate and report on the program, monitoring dependencies and the critical path within the program, reporting issues to the Site Manager & Central Functional teams.
* Act as first escalation point for projects within the programme.
Experience
* Qualification in Business, or an associated discipline or equivalent experience.
* Track record of delivering enterprise-wide business applications, including ERP across an engineering, design, and manufacturing organisation.
* Strong project management capability.
* Change management experience covering multiple functions.
* Competent user of MS Office systems including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
* Proven ability to lead teams with a diverse range of skills and styles.
* Proven ability to manage large complex projects and multiple work streams.
* Strong understanding and application of project management competencies including scope, time, costs, quality, HR, communications, risk.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferable but not essential.
