Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with customers in a designated geographic sales area. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for customers, responsible for ensuring their satisfaction, driving sales, and providing support to ensure their ongoing success with our products and services.
Duties
* Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers in the assigned geographic area, acting as their primary contact for inquiries, issues, and support.
* Sales Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services to existing customers, ensuring that revenue targets are met or exceeded.
* Account Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team to develop account plans tailored to each customer’s needs and business objectives, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth goals.
* Customer Support: Assist customers in resolving product issues, troubleshooting, and providing solutions in a timely manner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
* Collaboration: Work closely with external account managers, product teams, and customer support teams to deliver seamless customer service and achieve collective goals.
* Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and report on key metrics related to customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth. Use data to adjust strategies and improve performance.
* Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our products and services to provide expert-level advice and recommendations to customers.
* Customer Retention: Focus on retaining customers by understanding their business challenges, providing proactive support, and anticipating future needs.
Skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and trust with customers.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
* Ability to identify sales opportunities and close deals within existing accounts.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer issues with a solutions-driven approach.
* Previous experience in a sales distribution industry is an advantage but not required.
