Quality improvement and education plays a vital role in maintaining excellent clinical standards and monitoring the quality of patient care, safety, and experience within the organisation. The Macmillan Quality Improvement Nurse role will be a challenging, innovative and rewarding position. The successful candidate will be based at the Worcester site, however will be expected to work across all three of our Worcestershire Acute Hospital sites with the wider MDT and external services, providing clinical knowledge and expertise around education and governance to make a difference to our services and ultimately our patients. Main duties of the job The post holder will work closely with Macmillan, the Cancer Services team and wider specialist services to support quality improvement initiatives. The post holder will develop and deliver an education programme for all staff working with cancer patients utilising the ACCEND programme and specialists in cancer care; support colleagues in the cancer services team to deliver cancer patients health and wellbeing days and the Macmillan HOPE programme.
