Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant youwill deliver a high quality, holistic, palliative and end of life nursing careto patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Assistant Practitioner.As the successful candidate, you will have previous experience within a caresetting and knowledge of palliative care and nursing patients at end of life.Experience of community nursing is advantageous.
You will provide emotional, spiritual andpractical support to patients in their normal place of residence and thereforemust be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills,hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work, which youmust have insured for business use.
This role is part of the Hospice in yourHome team although whilst working in a patients place of residence you willbe working alone, therefore you must possess excellent organisational anddecision making take an inside look at the Hospice in Your Home team here:
You will hold RQF Level 2 in Health andSocial Care or equivalent asa minimum, be required to adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Workersand we will support your personal development by supporting you through theCare Certificate. Palliative care experience is essential in order to apply forthis role, which will need to be demonstrated within your application form.
