The Headteacher and Governors are looking for a part time playworker to support our children in our Afterschool Club The Hub.
Playworkers assist pupils during their time in The Hub, working as part of a team, including supervising welfare, behaviour and safety, ensuring a clean and tidy environment, controlling pupil behaviour in line with the school behaviour policy,
It also includes the following:
To ensure that the Afterschool club is controlled and pupils are managed in terms of behaviour and safety.
To look after the welfare of the pupils in connection with hygiene, table manners, general behaviour and assist any children with eating difficulties.
Maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Deal with hazards to prevent accidents.
Supervise the safety of children at all times.
Make senior leaders aware of any issues or accidents to ensure that the children are managed in a safe environment at all times.
Supervise the children at play and organise games for children.
Administer First Aid if necessary (training provided)
Attend any training, which School may consider appropriate to the role.
Carry out any other duties as deemed appropriate by the School relating to the supervision of children.
The Playworker role is Part time and Term Time only for 15 hours per week - The role will be for 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday 3pm 6pm.
