Project Manager, SOCOTEC Asbestos, Competitive Salary, South East based out of the Romford Office

SOCOTEC is a leading provider of asbestos management and consultancy services across a wide range of business sectors and property types. SOCOTEC’s highly experienced team of asbestos consultants are fully accredited to carry out asbestos management, refurbishment or demolition surveys to UKAS No. 0148 standards. Our extensive network of regional offices and laboratories allows both national and local clients to benefit from our services. SOCOTEC also delivers UKATA approved asbestos awareness courses, as well as bespoke professional training, which can be delivered from your premises.
We’re looking for an experienced asbestos consultant to join our team, working on key projects across London and the South East. The role will involve the management of surveying and analytical projects of varying sizes for a range of clients, including:
1. Blue chip retail clients;
2. Rail sector service providers, including stations and traincare depots;
3. Residential and Council / Government organisations.

1. A strong understanding of the asbestos industry including what is required to conduct a survey and how to arrange remedial works;
2. A good level of computer literacy in order to utilise existing business systems/processes and produce relevant documentation (i.e. RAMS and remedial specifications);
3. A 'can-do' attitude to problem-solving;
4. An approachable personality, capable of liaising professionally and politely with both clients and colleagues;
5. An understanding of Health and Safety requirements and the need to work safely at all times.
