The Client - A large high education institution is looking for an individual to provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative service to the hospitality, accommodation and conferencing services coordinator and Head of HACS. The Role - 36.5 Hours per week; Monday to Thursday 08.50am-5.00pm & Friday 08.50am to 4.25pm. Duties would include but not be limited to: To oversee all of the work caried out in the Halls Office including that of the administrative assistant. Responsible for the administration of halls applications, the allocation of rooms and the issuing of contracts. To assist in the registration of students including the issue of Halls Identity cards, keys and signing of the register. Prepare a financial spreadsheet calculating the Halls resident's fees to be processed by the Finance Office. To process wage cards for submission to the Finance Office. To be responsible for all financial transactions received, petty cash, prepare bank lodgements and end of day reconciliations. To prepare accounts for halls damages and to maintain the Halls Damages Account Book. To respond to enquiries from students, conference delegates, members of the public and other internal departments (Finance, Marketing, HR) Qualifications: Minimum of five GCSE passes or equivalent at Grade C or higher-level qualification (to include qualifications that demonstrate literacy/ proficiency in English Language and Numeracy. Experience: At least three year's recent administration experience, preferably working in further or higher education in a student facing role. Excellent IT Skills with experience of using MS Word, Excel & Outlook. Excellent communication skills; both written and oral. Proven ability to work with a high level of accuracy in a dead-line driven environment. Experience of working in an environment in which confidentiality must be maintained. Desirable: Previous experience of working in a front of house/ reception environment Previous experience of working in a further/higher education/ accommodation/ hospitality environment.
