Job Description Electronics Measurement and Test Engineer Full-Time Derby/Hybrid (3 days a week on-site) What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Measurement and Test Engineer to join our team in Derby. In this role, you will ensure that Rolls-Royce has fit for purpose measurement capability, solutions and resulting data for our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. You will be part of a team working on Measurement Systems, Instrumentation and Sensors with a focus on Electronics hardware and software design. You will define appropriate instrumentation and measurement system solutions, ensuring that they deliver valid data to the declared levels of uncertainty and integrity. Responsibilities In this interesting role you will: Develop potential concepts and use engineering design methods to determine the best product solution. Use fit for purpose approval process for design solutions. Develop and design potential definitions/solutions including expected performance. Use engineering methods to determine the best solution using internal and external supply chain. Elicit, document and maintain customer requirements from customer needs throughout the solution's life for design, make, operation, maintenance, repair and de-commissioning. Implement effective technical support for the solution and apply HSE policy during operations including a commitment to continuous improvement. Create, execute and maintain a validation plan for the system and provide validation evidence and reports. Ensure that the measurement system delivers the correct results. Work with a range of stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to configure and maintain product and component testing arrangements. Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems impacting measurement activities and co-ordinate support activities. Why Rolls-Royce? Significant experience working in similar engineering roles, ideally with a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Experience with both software and hardware development.
