Days (Mon-Fri) 40 hours per week Overtime available Immediate permanent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a new role within in a great environment. Our Client is paying £38,000 per annum. Working as part of a team, you will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge whilst carrying out testing, fault-finding and diagnostics of company machinery. What you will be doing: Being responsible for the repair and maintenance of all our tools, equipment and machinery. Minimise factory lost time by organising plant maintenance and prompt attention to plant breakdowns. Arrange maintenance of Laboratory & office equipment with prompt attention to breakdowns. Ordering replacement parts. Carrying out preventative maintenance. Keeping records of all maintenance carried out. Outsourcing work when repairs are not able to be carried out inhouse. Report all equipment issues and faults for the requirement of ordering parts and process to relevant Departments. Arrange any necessary starting up/shutting down procedures of machinery and security of premises. Install and commission new equipment as required. Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment. Conduct routine preventative maintenance work, respond to equipment faults, diagnose break down and arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components. Respond to emergencies, unplanned issues, and repairs. Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are being adhered to correctly at all times and raising where this is not happening. Effective management and prioritisation of your workload. Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance conducted. Carry out minor repairs to building fittings and structure. What you will need to succeed: At least 3 years’ experience maintaining/repairing special purpose machinery as an electrically biased maintenance engineer. 3 years of manufacturing and engineering experience is preferred. Good knowledge and experience within the business sector involving Polymer processing. The capacity to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures. Team Working skills to work cooperatively and consult with people at all levels. The ability to take the initiative as and when required. Good diagnostic and critical thinking skills The confidence to respond positively when under pressure. First Aid experience would be useful.
