Salaried GP (with potential for partnership)
Due to a senior partner retiring, an exciting opportunity isavailable for a motivated and compassionate GP to join our dynamic team. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of primarycare services, including acute consultations, chronic disease management, homevisits (usually 0-1 per day), and reviewing and actioning results. Main duties of the job

Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, includingconsultations, examinations, treatments, follow-up, and referrals whereindicated.
Manage long-term conditions, offering advice and treatmentplans tailored to individual patient needs.
Participate in practice meetings, audits, and clinicalgovernance activities to ensure continuous improvement.
Engage in professional development to stay updated with thelatest medical guidelines and best practices.
Contribute to the practice's quality improvement initiativesand help shape the future direction of the practice.

Huntcliff Surgery is a well-established and patient-focusedGP practice serving the local community in Saltburn, a picturesque seaside town,with a list size of just over 10,000 patients. We pride ourselves on deliveringhigh-quality, holistic care to our diverse patient population. With asupportive and friendly team, our practice is committed to innovation,continuous improvement, and the well-being of both our patients and staff. Ourclinical team currently comprises 4x GP partners, 2x salaried GPs, 4x nursepractitioners, 2x practice nurses, 1x GP assistant, 1x senior healthcareassistant, 1x phlebotomist; supported by an in-house pharmacist, pharmacytechnician, prescriptions team, data admin team, senior management team, andfriendly reception staff. We also have a range of ARRS staff including a first-contactMSK practitioner, child & young persons mental health practitioner, andsocial prescribers.
Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
c. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d. Effective management of long-term conditions
e. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
f. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
h. Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
j. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
k. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
l. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
m. Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training
n. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
o. Prepare and complete the revalidation process
p. Commit to self-learning and instill an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
q. Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
r. Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
s. Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policies
t. Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Secondary responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the salaried GP may be requested to:
a. Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit lead
b. Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
c. Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach i.e., root cause analysis (RCA)

Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* MRCGP
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
