Trade Marketing Manager Description - Job Summary • This role is responsible for directing and controlling category management activities while leading a team of individual contributors. The role manages operational and tactical activities to support internal sales processes. The role handles project communication, talent-management and proactively identifies process improvement opportunities, and gives recommendations. Responsibilities • Directs and controls category management activities for a single country or sub-region within a larger geographical region. • Leads a team of exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors and plans, directs and monitors operations/tactical activities. • Manages internal sales support, selling, and marketing processes to support direct sales representatives and selling activities. • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and recommends changes in alignment with business strategy. • Acts as a bridge between marketing and country customer-facing organizations to ensure effective communication. • Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching, and career development. • Forecasts sales volumes and revenue for the category, taking into account historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors. • Interacts frequently with senior management to communicate project status and escalate issues, as necessary. • Applies subject matter expertise to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Education & Experience Recommended • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field.
