ABOUT SYNDICATION TEAM
The role provides the opportunity to join our Syndication team who are responsible for design, delivery and support of our English-speaking syndication services outside of the UK including BBC Select, BBC Podcasts and BBC News. These are available in various countries globally but primarily in the US and Canada, on platforms including Apple, Amazon, Roku, Yahoo and MSN.
THE ROLE
We are seeking someone who is interested in working on all aspects of the products including platform support, analysis of new feature requests and delivery of new features including testing.
This is a great entry point into the technology underpinning digital media scheduling and delivery, and the perfect opportunity for someone who is interested in the ‘whys’ and the ‘how’s’ behind these processes.
Role Responsibility:
* Day to day operational support, ensuring support tickets are reviewed in a timely fashion and stakeholders are kept updated on progress.
* Impact assess support tickets as required, ensuring root cause is identified and corrective action documented and scheduled as necessary.
* Build and maintain knowledgebase on systems, technical and operational support workflows which enable BBC Select and Podcast delivery to partner platforms.
* Liaise with internal business teams and 3rd parties including the delivery partners and tech platforms as required.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and immediate team.
* Assist with elicitation, analysis and documentation of business requirements as appropriate.
* Assist with identifying the scope of new features and liaise with the development team to establish effort.
* Assist with QA and regression testing of new features.
* Work closely with Software Developers, Testers, Business Analysts and Project Managers as part of an agile team.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
Key Criteria:
* Experience of Bebanjo/Mediagenix On Demand scheduling tool.
* Experience of audio and/or long-form video content delivery.
* Understanding of programming and markup languages such as XML, HTML, JSON, RSS, SQL, VBA.
* Good knowledge of project lifecycle and delivery in a technical environment.
* Establishes deadlines and personal work plans; manages time effectively.
* Knowledge of BBC metadata and content management system.
* Experience of digital media; familiarity with operational processes around content and metadata preparation and delivery.

Band: C
Salary: Up to £32,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience, London Weighting Allowance also included. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Contract type: Permanent.
Location: Office Base is London TVC (This is a hybrid role).
