Your New Role: As a Quality Officer, you will work in ensuring that our products and ways of working comply with all the necessary requirements (BRCGS Storage & Distribution) before they reach our customers. The successful candidate will be a vital part of the Quality Team, working closely to the operations team and reporting to the Quality Assurance Specialist. We are an innovative team, with a problem solving approach.
This role is full time (5 days a week, 8am – 5pm on site).
Responsibilities
1. Ensure site standards are always ready for unannounced BRCGS audits.
2. Resolving customer complaints and investigating non-conformance.
3. Provide administrative support to the Quality Department.
4. Complete, follow up and trend for customer and business information requests.
5. Trainings for new starters, refresher trainings and procedure update trainings. Maintain training matrix and training certificates.
6. Responsible for maintaining document control register and document amendment register.
7. Maintenance and trending of complaint log. (with SAP report on returns)
8. Specification folder maintenance – ensuring up to date specs are on file.
9. Carry out ongoing re-approvals of suppliers and maintain supplier approval log.
10. Maintain supplier NC log, raise, close and file supplier NC in timely manner.
11. Carry out annual quality related verifications PRPs and equipment as per schedule.
12. Complete annual calibration for fleet, chillers, thermometers, scales and hygrometer as per schedule, filing certificates.
13. Other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Minimum of two years’ experience in a quality/technical role.
2. Experience with labelling requirements and customer complaints is beneficial.
3. Knowledge of BRCGS Certification, HACCP and QMS.
4. Build strong relationships with other departments.
5. Highly organised with good attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
7. A dynamic individual with the ability to multitask.
8. A can do solution based approach to quality control.
9. Right to work in the UK.
