Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with both hand tools and power tools. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
3. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and installations.
4. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
5. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
6. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
6. A valid driver's licence may be required depending on the specific role.
