Job Description
Working within the specialized Postural Management Team, you will need at least two years of experience working with individuals with complex postural management needs. You should have a comprehensive understanding of how poor posture affects health and functional ability.
Your responsibilities include contributing to the development of postural management within the Community Occupational Therapy Service, providing professional support, and delivering outcome-focused interventions. You will undertake specialist assessments, make professional judgments, and identify appropriate seating and lying postural solutions.
You will also mentor and support other therapists, deputize for the Team Manager, and oversee daily team operations. The role is based in Kirkcaldy but covers all of Fife.
Qualifications and Registration
Applicants must hold a recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy at a minimum of SCQF level 9 and be registered with the HCPC. Experience in complex postural management assessment and interventions is essential.
Additional Requirements
Pre-employment, you will need to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
