Are you looking for an opportunity to make a big impact in an evolving engineering environment? You would be the first-ever Quality Engineer, so you’ll be able to bring all your ideas and experience to the table and be given the freedom to make a difference.
The company designs and builds electro-mechanical equipment and has a great reputation for product quality. After recently investing a lot in CAPEX, they have plans in place to increase their manufacturing volume, and they need a strong Quality Engineer to take ownership of quality across the business. The first priority will be tackling non-conformances: with no process in place to reduce this, you’ll quickly be able to use your RCA ability to make a difference when it comes to process implementation and waste reduction. They are also looking to become ISO9001 accredited in 2025.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring that processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained.
2. Working closely with the Manufacturing Engineer to monitor production standards.
3. Working with the NPI team to provide your feedback and input.
4. Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product.
5. Developing quality processes across production, test and supply chain.
The Candidate: Quality Engineer
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
1. A track record in a similar role within an ISO9001 electro-mechanical environment.
2. Markets worked within include automotive, aerospace, defence, medical devices, maritime/marine, instrumentation, and technology.
3. A strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade others.
