Lecturer in Education (Secondary Maths) (0.7 FTE)

The University of Brighton is seeking to appoint to the post of part-time Lecturer in Education (Secondary Maths) for its School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences.
The University of Brighton has a very well-established continuum of taught education programmes including: undergraduate education and teacher education courses; postgraduate teacher education; apprenticeships; a Masters programme; and PhD provision, which is also supported by the Brighton Doctoral College. We have an extensive partnership with schools, colleges, early years, alternative and informal educational providers and settings across the region.
We invite applicants who have a strong background and understanding of education and secondary maths. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute across our secondary initial teacher education (ITE) programmes at postgraduate and undergraduate level.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
1. A good degree in a field relevant to secondary maths education
2. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, and proven successful experience as a secondary school teacher
3. Up-to-date, sound knowledge of the field of education and secondary maths

Our work in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) was rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted in our 2024 inspection.
