We are seeking to appoint a HR Manager to join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking Academy Trust. Co-operative Learning Trust is a multi-academy trust, currently working with nine primary schools, six in Staffordshire and three in Walsall. Our Academy Trust offices are located in Burton on Trent and are attached to Outwoods primary school.
We are looking for a HR professional with excellent people management and interpersonal skills who is able to interact with staff at all levels. An integral part of the role will be ensuring that the Trust has capacity to continue to deliver a high quality and effective HR service to our schools as we grow. You will have a flexible ‘hands-on’ approach to the role and be able to apply yourself to a full range of HR matters within the team. Part of the HR service includes visits to schools for employee-related meetings with senior leaders and to hold HR surgeries, promoting staff benefits and signposting employees on matters such as pay and pensions.
As a HR Manager, you will work alongside our COO overseeing the HR service delivery to a group of schools, providing day-to-day support and advice to Headteachers and senior leaders on HR policy, legislation, compliance, and employee relations supported by an external HR professional service. You will also share the management of the payroll function through a third-party provider.
The successful candidate will ideally have a CIPD or equivalent HR qualification; however, we are also keen to encourage applicants who may not have these qualifications but are willing to work towards obtaining the CIPD qualification.
