Our client, a local family run business based in Bourne End, is looking for a warehouse operative to support the day-to-day functions of the warehouse. You will be responsible for repackaging orders, assisting with admin and sample prep, as well as ensuring that any future orders that require preparation are arranged and packed and placed in a back location out of the way ready for collection.
Hours: 9-5pm (1 hour for lunch)
Responsibilities:
* All warehouse picks must be correct as per the quantity and coding requirements; any discrepancies must be alerted immediately to the Operations Manager for investigation. All picks must be signed off with a second checking process.
* Review expected deliveries inbound and outbound for the week with the Operations Manager and ensure that appropriate steps are taken to process the demand within the appropriate time requirements.
* Ensure that the warehouse is maintained for all inbound deliveries to ensure you have space; you will be responsible for feeding back to management where you feel that the capacity is not large enough for the expected delivery.
* Ensure order labels are displayed correctly as per the request of the client.
* Check and receipt all inbound deliveries against their packing list and report to logistics/finance admin accurately following the arrival of the goods and update the warehouse inbound book.
* Perform a monthly stock take on randomly selected items and report back to Operations on any shortfalls or batch discrepancies.
* Stock labels must clearly contain the product code, batch number, and quantity within the pallet and box for all stock stored in the warehouse.
* Ensure that damaged items are addressed and communicated on receipt or release to the Admin; all damaged goods should be stored in the Quality Held Racking.
* Ensure that the warehouse is swept, clear of dust, and maintained; this should be reviewed weekly.
* Ensure any spillages or product leakages are swept and dealt with immediately; ensure that Admin Team are informed when and where this has happened and that any damaged products are captured through internal systems and batches.
* Inbound/Outbound books must be accurate for each day’s delivery by the end of the working day to ensure that the data can be accurately maintained through current day-to-day processes as outlined by the Operations Manager.
* All internal movement of stock must be accurately tracked on the whiteboard and feedback to Operations to ensure that the stock report can be updated to reflect these changes.
* Responsible for maintaining a well-organised warehouse space with accurate aisle tracking daily.
* Adhere to all safety regulations in place for the warehouse and raise any safety concerns to the Operations Manager immediately.
* Responsible for reporting any products that have not moved, expired, or seem to be taking up space inefficiently to Operations Manager for review monthly.
* Proactively use downtime to support with above tasks, ad-hoc tasks, or just general maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse areas.
* Full participation in an annual stock take. Unplanned stock takes may be required through the year where the business requires it.

* Fork lift license is desirable – Counterbalance.
