Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Behaviour Learning Mentor's with experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour. This will be to work in a number of differing positions that we have coming up here to start in December.
Previous experience working with children is essential. Must be energetic, enthusiastic and be able to work using your own initiative. The role will be working with a variety of children on a 1:1 or group basis, across the age and ability spectrum. Within this role, you will be expected to work alongside key school staff and existing behaviour plans to improve levels of pupil behaviour exhibited in class. Over time, you will build up a supportive working relationship with pupils so that you can act as a mentor and role model, ultimately improving overall attainment.
Main Responsibilities
- Help the pupils to access the curriculum and possibly tailor the lesson of the activity to their level of ability
- Make learning fun, enjoyable and accessible
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them to develop coping strategies and self-regulation skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and other staff members to address the individual needs of students
Essential Criteria
- Have an interest in supporting children/young people
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant references and DBS/police checks
- Able to work 5 days a week (term time only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
