Scarborough, Whitby and Rydale team are looking for a team manager to manage the community learning disability service. The team is a well-established, friendly team who are forward-thinking and welcoming to new starters.
We are looking for a member of staff from all disciplines and professional backgrounds e.g. learning disabilities or adult mental health to take up this role. We are happy to support new managers into the position, so if you feel that you are ready for a new challenge and have the right skills but do not have the experience, we will support you through the transition as needed.
The team comprises of nurses, OTs, Physios, SLT, psychologists, admin, and psychiatry staff.
The hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
The team manager will be responsible for all aspects of the service. They will support staff, offering supervisions and appraisals while having a good understanding of the needs for the service to provide up-to-date data to help with the team's development.

Qualifications
Essential
* Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work or relevant professional clinical qualification (ie PWP/CWP in IAPT/Getting Help services).
* Be educated to Master's level in leadership or a subject area relevant to the area of practice OR have equivalent clinical experience to that of master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in a relevant clinical area with significant experience - which also includes significant experience of managing people (see below under experience), together with evidence of CPD.
* Be trained in Clinical Supervision and Providing Clinical Supervision.
* Be a Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor.
Skills
Essential
* Able to manage complex team situations effectively.
* Has understanding of the requirements of a busy team and can juggle the day-to-day management of this.
Experience
Essential
* Experience of managing staff.
* Experience of working with patients with complex needs in the specialist field.
* Working collaboratively with others (external partners, staff service users and their families/carers).
* Evidence of delivering supervision.
* Detailed understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice.
