We have an exciting opportunity for a Spa Therapist to join our team!
POSITION: Spa Therapist (full-time)
REPORTING TO: Spa Manager
HOURS: Varied shifts, based on 5 days out of 7, including weekend work (Monday – Sunday 9am – 5.30pm / late night opening Friday). All full-time staff have a rolling 4 week rota pattern, with one full weekend off per month. You will be required to work a mix of Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the month.
About The Role
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To carry out designated treatments thoroughly, professionally and efficiently and in a timely manner according to procedures.
* To ensure guests receive a warm welcome to the premises and provide a high level of hospitality, showing guests through to the relaxation area.
* Being aware of all sales outlets within the establishment and trying at all times to promote these to guests and promote other treatments available at the Spa.
* Provide professional advice to guests on the use of products and sales.
* Maintain a high level of product knowledge, through continuous product training and revision.
* To ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times and well stocked.
* To ensure the relaxation suite is clean, tidy and fully stocked.
* To assist in regular stock-takings as required.
* To use correct dosage of professional product and to keep store cupboards in good order whilst maintaining stock control procedures.
* To be aware of the company promotions.
* To maintain the highest standard of hygiene in all treatment rooms and areas.
* To assist in all Spa duties such as laundry, food replenishment, cleaning.
* To attend to any other duties as requested by your manager.
* To report any complaints or faults to the manager on duty.
* To accept and understand a flexible work schedule is necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests.
* To comply with the standards and operation procedures manual.
Communication:
* To report any complaints or faults to the immediate supervisor and ensure that they are logged.
* To attend all meetings as and when required.
Security:
* To remain constantly aware of security and report or act on any suspicious event or person.
* To be alert for guests leaving the premises without settling their account.
Personal:
* To maintain the highest standard of personal hygiene, appearance, and dress at all times.
* To ensure the correct uniform is worn, having been cleaned and ironed regularly.
* To ensure the correct name badge is worn at all times in the establishment.
* Be polite and approachable to all guests and other staff members.
* To be punctual at all times, especially for treatments and arrival to work times.
* Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues.
Health & Safety:
* To maintain an awareness of all Health & Safety requirements, as outlined in the Hotel Health & Safety Policy.
* To ensure awareness of the Roe Spa’s fire procedures and the use of fire fighting equipment.
* To understand and follow the Roe Spa’s emergency evacuation procedures.
* To remain constantly vigilant and aware of security, reporting any suspicious event or person.
