As our Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.
Typical day as our Support Worker
* Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
* Assisting a wide range of customers with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities & Mental Health.
* Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
* Engaging in meaningful conversations and support with customers.
You bring
* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail.
* Experience of caring for others, whether in a professional capacity or through personal experience.
* The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.
* Recognizing that every customer is different and adopting a flexible, personal approach to meet their needs.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.
Job details
* Flexible working hours, with a requirement to adapt start or finishing times to meet customer needs.
* Night Shift work – your rota will be either 6pm - 4am or 9pm - 7am on rotation.
* Regular daytime meetings for training and team collaboration.
* Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and collaborate with colleagues.
You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done, and we pay for that.
