We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaged Legal Secretary to support a busy Conveyancing team in our Bridgend office on a full-time basis. Ideally, you will have 1+ years or more experience of Audio Typing and Office Administration duties.
What you’ll be responsible for:
* Ordering searches
* Drafting sales contracts
* Submitting Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions
* Obtaining land registry documents
* Obtaining documents from local authority (planning and building reg departments), Management Company’s, NHBC etc.
* Administering filing systems which will include daily printing, filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
* Assisting with maintaining multiple colleague calendars.
* Making photocopies and storing client documents
* Maintain high levels of client and company confidentiality
* Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by your line manager or Director.
* Preparing client correspondence and documents as instructed by a Solicitor / Conveyancer through audio-typing and word processing.
* Listening to audio recordings and transcribing them accurately into written documents such as emails, Microsoft Word etc.
* Using transcription software and equipment to aid in the transcription process.
* Reviewing, proofreading and editing transcriptions for errors including spelling & punctuation, accuracy, and clarity.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working as an audio typist or secretary is desirable
* Experience of audio typing / transcribing and word processing is essential
* Experience in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Outlook is essential
* Experience using a client / customer / case management system is desirable
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels.
* Excellent general IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
* Strong level of literacy and numeracy.
* Team player.
