We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team and help us maintain and enhance our IT infrastructure across all our locations.
Job Description: As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. You will be responsible for providing technical support to staff and students, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining our network infrastructure. This role requires regular travel between our schools, so access to your own vehicle is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first-line technical support to a range of stakeholders.
• Diagnose and resolve IT issues either in person or remotely.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and permissions.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure system security and efficiency.
• Document and track support requests and resolutions.
• Collaborate with the wider IT team to implement new technologies and improvements.
• Travel to various school sites within the Trust to provide on-site support as needed.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
• Flexibility to travel regularly between school sites.
Desirable:
• Experience working in an educational environment.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g. AZ-900, SC-900, DP-900, AI-900, ITIL certification).
